With the exhibition “five to twelve” artelierfünf launches its curatorial program for the first time, thus inaugurating a new platform for contemporary art. The title alludes to the well-known saying "it's five to twelve": a moment of decision, just before something begins. However, the exhibition understands this point in time not as a warning, but as an opportunity for a new beginning: a moment in which ideas become concrete steps and new artistic positions emerge.

The exhibition brings together works by Lilly Öhler, Clemens Buzzi, and Fabian Pollhammer . Different artistic approaches, media, and questions enter into dialogue with one another, creating a multifaceted picture of contemporary practice.

The artists will be present at the opening.

Mit der Ausstellung „fünf vor zwölf“ eröffnet a[r]telierfünf erstmals sein kuratorisches Programm und setzt damit den Auftakt zu einer neuen Plattform für zeitgenössische Kunst. Der Titel greift die bekannte Redewendung „es ist fünf vor zwölf“ auf: einen Moment der Entscheidung, kurz bevor etwas beginnt. Die Ausstellung versteht diesen Zeitpunkt jedoch nicht als Warnung, sondern als Möglichkeit des Aufbruchs: als Moment, in dem aus Ideen konkrete Schritte werden und neue künstlerische Positionen sichtbar werden.

Die Ausstellung versammelt Arbeiten von Lilly Öhler, Clemens Buzzi und Fabian Pollhammer. Unterschiedliche künstlerische Ansätze, Medien und Fragestellungen treten miteinander in Dialog und eröffnen ein vielstimmiges Bild zeitgenössischer Praxis.
